A protein containing AFF3 (LAF4) fused to the GAL4 DNA-binding domain activates UASx5-E1b-CAT in transiently transfected HeLa cells. In vitro translated AFF3 (LAF-4) binds double-stranded DNA cellulose; however, no studies have attempted to show sequence-specific binding.
