[12119294] DNA Binding; Transactivation Mouse Strong Ets-1 binds an EBS element in the SERCA3 promoter. Ets-1 and Sp1 factors interact directly with each other on the SERCA3 promoter (Affinity purification of DNA-binding proteins with 5'-Biotinylated oligonucleotides in EA.hy926 or MoBr 204 cells).

Ets-1 is able to transactivate the SERCA3 promoter in MoBr 204 cells (gene reporter assay). Ets-1 induces the expression of SERCA3 in MoBr 204 cells (RT-PCR analysis of expression of SERCA3 performed on cells trqnsfected with Ets-1).

The Ets-1 TF as been well characterized and a lot of its gene targets are known.
