Meltem Eda Omur, MSc
Phd Student
She completed her bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics department with a minor degree in Computer Engineering. During her bachelor’s degree, she had couple of internships in Bioinformatics laboratories. Meltem received her master’s degree in Computational Systems Biology laboratory at Koc University, Istanbul in 2019. She was working on computational investigation of Kras4B protein complexes and interactions with its effector proteins using molecular dynamics simulation method. Although she enjoyed working on computational structural biology, she wanted to proceed her career in Bioinformatics field. She is currently a PhD student in Bioinformatics department at University of British Columbia. As a PhD student in Wasserman lab, she is working on deciphering regulatory programs behind stem cell differentiation.
